Ramsey, Bardie Lee (Dr.) - November 27, 1994
Dr. Bardie Lee Ramsey, 91, of Bay St. Louis died Sunday, Nov. 27, 1994 in Atlanta.
Dr. Ramsey was a native of Derma and a retired orthodontist. He was a retired Navy lieutenant commander serving in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Colley Ramsey of Bay St. Louis; a daughter, Caffey Lee Ramsey Sargent of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
A service will be Wednesday at 2p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis, where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Gardens of Memories Cemetery in Bay St. Louis. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Ramsey "Doc" came to Bay St. Louis in 1926. He received his degree in dentistry from The University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Ramsey Building was built in 1939. It housed a huge department store with beauty shop on its mezzanine level and his dental office on the second floor.
He served in the Navy in World War II and retired as a Lieutenant Commander.
Doc was an active member of The First Baptist Church and was a deacon for many years.
