Obituary Record
Ladner, Cecile Seube - July 20, 1927
Mrs. Alcide Ladner was Miss Cecile Seube before her marriage, and was a native of New Orleans coming to Bay St. Louis with her parents when only one year old. On May 13th, of this year, she celebrated her 54th birthday.
In addition to her husband, well-known citizen of this city, Mrs. Ladner is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Edwina Luc, of Bay St. Louis; Mrs. Fred Roemer of New Orleans; Misses Mathilde, Mabel, Esther, Alcida, Lillian. Five sons, Delmas, of Hattiesburg; Gaston, Russell, Nolan, Curtis, of Bay St. Louis.
Two brothers, Henry Seube, of New Orleans; Andrew Bankston, also of New Orleans. Five sisters, Mrs. Jennie Belloq, Mrs. Rosie Basford, Mrs. Ameline Combel, Mrs. Aline Breath, all of New Orleans, and Mrs. Amanda Strong, of Bay St. Louis.
The Sea Coast Echo, in common with the community feels deeply the demise of this excellent woman, and sympathizes with the family that has been called to carry almost crushing burden. Death has invaded a typical happy home where love and sunshine were ever present; a more united family does not exist; typical of the word and exemplary in every phase. Surely an all-merciful and infinite influence will stay their sorrow and assuage their grief as time, interminable and waiting for none, will continue to pass away.
With the ceremony of the Catholic church, the remains were tenderly laid away "at rest" in the hallowed precincts of Cedar Rest Cemetery.
