Herring, Mack Ray - August 16, 2000
Mack Ray Herring, 64, of Bay St. Louis, died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in Bay St. Louis.
He was a native of Geneva, AL and a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis. He was of the Catholic faith, and a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. He was the NASA Public Affairs Officer at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Hancock County for 32 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Lillie Herring, and a brother; Robert L. Herring.
He is survived by his wife; Faye Bufkin Herring of Bay St. Louis; two sons: Steven L. Herring of Point Richmond, CA and Kyle J. Herring of Houston, TX; a step-son: Johnny Bufkin of By St. Louis; a step-daughter: Connie Bufkin of Bay St. Louis; a brother: Paul J. Herring of Hoover, AL; and a sister: Mildred H. Maddox of Carrolton, GA.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2000 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home, Bay St. Louis.
A Prayer Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel, Bay St. Louis.
A visitation will be held Monday, August 21, 2000 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Pittman Funeral Home, 203 S. Commerce St., Geneva, AL with a 1:00 p.m. Prayer Service.
Interment to follow Monday, August 21, 2000 at Geneva City Cemetery, Geneva, AL.
