Callahan, Charles W. - November 16, 1998
Charles Wallace Callahan, 80, of Kiln, died Monday, Nov 16, 1998 in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Callahan was a native of Cullman, Ala., and was a resident of Kiln. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a Greyhound bus driver for 27 years and was a firefighter and treasurer for the Kiln Fire Department. Mr. Callahan was a member of American Legion Post 77 and was a chaplain of VFW 6285.
He was preceded in death by a son, Fred White, Jr., and his parents, Charles William and Estelle Higgins Callahan.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Kemp Callahan of Kiln; four daughters, Rebecca Blaize of Bay St. Louis, Beverly Colwell of Montgomery, Ala., Connie Douglas and Linda Hicklin, both of Cassa, Ark.; a brother, Bud Hart of Hiawatha, Kan.; a sister, Marie Hart of Cullman, Ala; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou in Hancock County.
