Lois Emelda Gardebled Ard died on Tuesday, December 15, 1992, at 6:41 P. M. Age 90 years. Born in Bay St. Louis, MS [4-14-1902]. Beloved wife of the late Laris Ogden Ard. Daughter of the late Mary E. Gardebled Burns and Gaston G. Gardebled. Mother of Lora-Mae Ard Smith. Grandmother of Laris M. Smith Desalvo. Great-grandmother of Lisa Ard Sedalvo and Dr. Jay Fischer Desalvo. Sister of the late Liston A. Gardebled, the late Nevette A. Gardebled and the late Gaston G. Gardebled, Jr. Survived by 3 sisters: Irma Gardebled Bolen of Metairie, Eula Gardebled Lucia of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Thais Gardebled Knowles of Selma, AL.

Relatives and friends, also members of the Eastern Star, Amaranth, White Shrine Organization, Square Dancers throughout the city and members of Lakeview Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd.(in Metairie Cemetery), on Friday December 18, 1992, at 11:00 A. M. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday, December 17, 7:30--10:00 and on Friday, December 18, at 9:00 until service time. Rev. Richard Randel of Lakeview Baptist Church, officiating.
