Clemons, James L. - February 3, 1999
James l. Clemons, 74, of Bay St. Louis, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Clemons was a retired attorney for Chevron. He was also known as "Shorty" and was a native of Cleveland, Miss. He was a naval pilot in World War II. After the war he entered Ole Miss Law School in preparation for a career as Corporate Landman for Chevron. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Mississippi Seniors.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Clemons of Bay St. Louis; sons Mark of Blessing, Texas and Robert of Madison, Miss; a daughter, Debbie Rankin
of Mendenhall; a brother, Commander W. E. Clemons of Jackson; and six grandchildren
Services were conducted Saturday at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Burial will be private at a later date.
