Collier, John - January 16, 1961
The funeral for John Collier, 55, who died at 6:15 P. M. Monday in his residence at 534 St. John St., was yesterday at 9:45 A. M. from Fahey-Whitfield Funeral home with religious rites at 10 A. M. in Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
A shipyard worker, Mr. Collier is a long time resident of Bay St. Louis and a native of Pass Christian.
He is servived by his widow, the former Miss Vivian Taconi; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Stiglets and Mrs. Edwaqrd Necaise, both of Bay St. Louis; three brothers, Fred, Francis, and louis Collier, all of New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Fredonia Schwall of New Orleans and Mrs. Polyzene Luxich of Bay St. Louis; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
