Lamb, Anita D. - June 7, 1999
Anita D. Lamb, 74, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, June 7, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Lamb was a native of New Orleans and had been a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis and was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.She retired from Hancock Bank after numberous years of service. She was a Hancock County Commissioner for Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Gulf Coast Mental Health Center, Region 13; president of the Library Foundation of Hancock County; member of the Board of Directors, Hancock County Food Pantry and she served as the first woman president of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce in 1976 and was a past member of the Board of Governors, Bay-Waveland Yacht Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harold and Sylvia Norman Duncan; her husband, William R. Lamb; and two brothers, James Harold Duncan Jr. and W. H. Norman Duncan.
Survivors include seven sons, William Duncan Lamb of Bay St. Louis, Robert Norman Lamb of Houston, Texas, Michael R. Lamb of New Orleans, Shannon William Lamb of Perlington, Peter Eric Lamb of Bay St. Louis, John Paul Lamb of Baton Rouge, and James Kendall Lamb of Metairie; two daughters, Margaret L. Dutton of Bay St. Louis and Marie Therese Lamb of Pineville, La; a sister, Sylvia D. MacDonald of New Orleans; and 16 grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
