Masson, Harold E. Sr. - February 12, 1999
Harold E. Masson Sr., 83, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, in Gulfport.
A native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Waveland, for the past 22 years. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church. After 47 years of employment and before his retirement in 1977, he was a pharmaceutical representative with Parke-Davis and Company.
Masson was amember of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce and the Bay St. Louis Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus serving as a Fourth Degree Knight, Bay St. Louis. A former principal of the high school of religion, St. Agnes Parish in Jefferson, La., and was also past president of the Holy Name Society. A past president of PRANO, New Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel Emile and Irene Johnson Masson Sr.
He was the dearly beloved husband of Alice Stuart Masson of Waveland; devoted father of Stuart A.and Nancy Masson, Kenner, La., Harold E. and Patricia Masson, Jr., Daytona Beach, Fla.; Dayton A. Masson, Metairie, La, Jerone A. And Kelly Masson, Jefferson, La., Gabriel E. Masson, III, and Maxwell Thomas, Rowayton, Conn., Joann M.and Clay Thomas, Waynesborough, Va., and Robin M. And John Jacobs, Atlanta Ga., brother of Gabriel Masson Jr., River Ridge, La., Sister Mary mmanuel of Waterville, Maine, Anita Guessford, Mereaux, La., and Irene M. Ducatel, Alpharetta, Ga., 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 15, 1999 from 8:30 a.m., until 10:30 a.m. at St.Clare's Catholic Church, Waveland . A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clare's Catholic Church, Waveland.
A graveside service will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, La.
