North, Orvis Leonard - November 23, 1998
Orvis Leonard North, 72, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998 in Kiln.
Mr. North was a native of Yuba, Wisc., and had been a resident of Kiln for three years. He was a member of Shifalo Baptist Church and was a member of the B.P.O. Elks USA Lodge No. 882 in Galena, Ill. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Livansky North; his parents, Corda and Faye McHenry North; and a sister, Doris North.
Survivors include three sons, James North of Jefferson, Iowa, Leonard North of Gelena and Marvin North of Suwanee, Ga., three brothers, Wayne North, Lewis North and Renaldo North, all of Milwaukee, and Carl North of Idaho; six grandchildren and his dearest and best friend and helper, Maxine Theriot.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. Edmond Fahey Funeral home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements
