May 6 of 1868, Poitevent sued Hancock County for S3,029.
May 13, ’72, HC sued FH Seal, treasurer et al for $6,956
Beginning May 8, 1874, plaintiffs sue NO, Mobile & Texas RR; at least 30.

Nov 12, 1881: Bd of Sup vs Whitfield, Holleman, Russ, Smith and Seal for $4592. Compromised for $200.
[NB: This small amount of compromise makes me wonder whether suit vs Seal was also settled for small amount.]
May 7, 1881: Another large amount - $2,981: State of MS, Bd of Sup, HC, vs Johnston, Monte, ? and Seal. Stay of execution for 6 mos, and then compromised for small amounts [?]
