CLEMENT EMILE TOCA
Clement E. Toca was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He attended public schools in New Orleans, Louisiana before entering the United States Marine Corps band in 1943 where he served his country In the Pacific. Postwar he graduated Loyola University in New Orleans (B.M.E.) and was recalled to arrange and conduct the Halls of Montezuma Marines In Review Band during the Korean conflict. Upon release from the service he completed graduate studies in composition at Southeastern University and then began a successful seventeen years teaching career before making conducting, composing and arranging his full time lifestyle.
