1st North Hancock Historical Meeting
On Sunday, May 25, 1997, Shirley and Don Munson arranged a meeting of some residents of the north part of Hancock county which was held at the Berry Patch store and restaurant just east of Caesar.

The purpose of this meeting was to establish a center for participation of local residents in the recording of Hancock County History. Several attendees joined the Society.
The new members agreed to make lists of locations of interest (churches, cemeteries, schools etc) both presently standing and demolished, etc. and bring them to the next meeting. The group was very enthusiastic. Mr. and Mrs. Munson asked me (CHG) to come back on Tuesday and they would show me the location of several cemeteries..

1 met Shirley and Don Munson and Harley Lee at the Berry Patch and Harley took us to the Breland (also Breeland) Cemetery. (See entry under Cemeteries - Breland)
We then Took Parson Powell Road to Caesar where we visited the Union Baptist Church, 1716 West Union Road, Picayune, Ms. 39466, (See entry under Cemeteries - Caesar). The hostess at the desk, Verla Sue Jones (798-6470 gave me a copy of their Sesquicentennial Program and History.
Just west of Caesar, we visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gipson who were very helpful, called several people for information and directed us to the Gipson Cemetery which is just west from their home. (See entry under Cemeteries - Gipson) Among others, they suggested
