JT- 00336
<	October	20,	1836
N. 0. Commercial Bulletin - Thursday - October 20, I836 - p 2 col 3 (Communicated - or letter to editor)
A valuable	g*iias recently been discovered on the
plantation of Johnson Hutchings near the town of Pearlington on East Pearl River, Mississippi.
The above Spring is said to possess all the of the celebrated Saratoga Springs, New York.
This place is situated within *4-0 miles of New Orleans in one of the most healthy counties of the state and is accessible at all seasons to steamboats drawing 8 feet water.
Owing to the similarity of the waters, the said place is now called the SARATOGA OF THE SOUTH.
The inhabitants of our sunny climes have got to learn that our local advantages over the North need only be known to be appreciated, and we opine that the day of emigrating to the North for the benefit of the waters will soon have passed away.
