CEDAR REST CEMETERY POWHATTAN ROBERTSON S8-44 My name is Powhattan Robertson and as you can tell by my name, I am part Indian. I died Oct 1, 1820. My marker says that I died "in the bloom of youth". That means between the ages of 12 and 18. My limestone marker is hard to read. After all, it is 179 years old. And it is flat on the ground so it gets walked on and grass grows over it and the weather makes the limestone brittle, The Historical Society had my stone cleaned this year because I am the oldest ^ ' ' [3ARKED grave in this cemetery. It won't stand^cleaning. I really need a small stone so that people will remember me. There are 8 Robertson families listed in the phone book but none of them know me. I am the only young Indian in this graveyard. And I was I deserve to be remembered. Thank You /
