seemed interested in replacing and or fixing it, the temperature in the building became unbearable? too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. (I had a patron pass out from heat whieh caused some concern as to potential lawsuits.) It is difficult to attract and keep patrons when the telephone number is unlisted.
5.	Hours of operation - I do not have any problem with extended hours of operation. As I have stated to Mr. Olsen and apyone else who has asked, I, personally, am available three days a week because of prior commitments. Some of these include, but are not limited to, travel to various parts of the state and country to promote the library, attendance and speaking engagements at various conferences and seminars and teaching of genealogical courses for continuing education. If the city wants to staff the library on days I am not available my only stipulation is accountability. The collection is invaluable and, as stated above, some of the assets are irreplaceable. Therefore all I want to know is who will accept responsibility for these assets in my absence.
In closing I agree that it is indeed a shame that the project failed. I am well aware of the investment the citizens of Bay St. Louis have made and regret that you have seen fit to cancel our agreement.
I wish you well in your search for uses for the depot. <
Sincerely,
Anne S. Anderson Owner/Director
