Nicholas McLeod Haas, Attorney
Nicholas McLeod Haas is a leader whose heart beats continuously for the progress and prosperity of Hancock County. His actions are timely and effective. Some would know him as ?Mr. Rotarian.? To most, he is simply ?Mac.? In 1997, the Bay St. Louis Rotary honored him with a Certificate of Appreciation for 26 years of service. Later that same year, he became a Paul Harris Fellow, and today remains active in the organization. He is best known for his quick wit and personality, delighting Rotarians with spontaneous oration during what has been called Hancock County?s hysterical moments. When Mac graduated from the University School of Law he had attained the highest scholastic record in his law class. He has practiced law in Hancock County since 1965. Presently, he serves as public

Throughout his career, he has dedicated years of service to Hancock County and the State of Mississippi, serving in numerous leadership positions?as Captain in the Army, President of the Jaycees, Named Outstanding Young Men of America, Named Outstanding Civic Leader of America, President of Rotary Club, Century Club Member of the New Orleans Area Council of Boy Scouts of America, President of the Hancock County Bar Association, King of Triton, and as a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is married to Wanda Logan Haas, and they are members of the Annunciation Parish Catholic Church. He has four children and three grandchildren. Mac Haas is a generous person with a big heart. He is always working behind the scenes, making sure others are recognized for their contributions, while never seeking recognition for himself, and that?s why we call Mac Haas one of Hancock	County?s
