After the wedding ceremony, with all its sweet solemnity, had been completed and the fond hopes of two trusting hearts had been gratified, toasts were drunk to their future health and happiness. A notable feature of this happy marriage was the fact that the able groom eloped with his fair bride from her home in Biloxi, and again demonstrated that love in its strength of purpose laughs at bolts and bars and flaunts its flag of freedom in the face of opposing parents. The young couple arrived on the 430pm train and were met by friends and fast horses, the assisted in making the ceremony one of record, for, in 15 minutes after the arrival, the ceremony was completed of life, bearing 2 young and hopeful hearts, was launched on the broad expanse of an invisible future.
