For visitors to this town, a busy weekend entails sauntering through antique stores or an outlet mall in nearby Gulfport, trying your luck at the local casino, searching the sand for shells and just kicking back in a lounge chair, watching the children feed the seagulls on the beach.
“We call this Hancock Parish,” joked David Moynan, referring to Hancock County, Miss., home to Bay St. Louis, just a skip over the state line from Louisiana’s St. Tammany Parish.

There’s not much that’s cooler than cruising in a convertible through Bay St. Louis.
