Work to begin immediately in hospitality center vicinity

Beautification in the vicinity of the Waveland Hospitality Center, U.S. 90 near Waveland Avenue, will begin immediately with city crews doing clearing work and ground preparation, the mayor and board of aldermen decided Wednesday after accepting a report from Mrs. Coral Gaudet, city beautification chairman.

A landscaping map, submitted this week by area horticulturist Terry Wilbourn, also calls for the planting of various other flowering shrubs and plants in the surrounding area and in the highway median.
