On behalf of the Flag Officers, Board of Governors, our Regatta Committee, and members of the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, it is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to Bay-Waveland Yacht Club and the Mississippi Coast Yachting Association’s Fiftieth sailing of the Chapman Regatta for the Chapman Memorial Trophy and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Sailing Championship.
I offer a special welcome to Commodore Robbie Schmidt, and to the other Flag Officers and the Board of Directors of the MCYA.
We are delighted to have this seven year rotational opportunity to serve as your host for this historic team race sailing championship.
Our primary objectives will be to provide you with a high level of Race Management, a fair sailing contest, and some great BWYC hospitality.
As our guests, we offer you the full use of our Club facilities and will do our best to make this an enjoyable Chapman Regatta. Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay in Bay St. Louis more enjoyable and pleasant. Our Regatta Committee and our Club staff will be available to assist you in every way possible.
We wish the Chapman Competitors good sailing and good sportsmanship, and in fair winds or foul may the best team win. I thank you for joining us.
