Established Feb. 5, 1872 under the name of Toulme, John
B.	Burnett was postmaster until the office was discontinued on June 12, 1872.
The office was re-established Oct. 8, 1884 with John B. Holloway as postmaster. He served until May 8, 1893. In 1887 the name of the office was changed to Gulf View.
The name of the office was changed again in 1893, this time to Chinchula, but an order came out rescinding this change Biid it never was legally in elite . Mary Yarbrough was to be the postmaster. She did go in as postmaster anyway on May 8, 1893 and served until Oct. 19, 1896J
