THE SHIP ISLAND STATION
In order to enable the Secretary of the Treasury to carry into effect the lav for the removal of the Ship Island Quarantine Station to some other island in the Gulf or to such a position on the Mississippi delta as may be chosen, the following Board has been desi^ated to select a site and report at the earliest moment, namely:
Surgeon W. H. Hutton, Marine Hospital Service - President Captain J. H. Parker, Revenue Karine Service - Past Asst. Surgeon H. R. Carter, Karine Hospital Service - Recorder of the Board
and the following gentlemen representing local interests, have consented to act as members of the Commission and are appointed:
Dr. J. W. Kaybin of Biloxi
Dr. C. P. Wilkinson of the Louisiana Board of Health.
No compensation is allowed, but only travelling expenses.
The Board will meet at Biloxi on Monday, the 19th (of March, 1888).
