Just a verse of a song I learned when I was young back in 1941
Did you ever in your life go wooing in the evening when your toil was o'er? and you knew there would be something doing with the only one that you adore. Arm in arm down lovers lane you linger, with your little girlie, ring on finger and the moon plays peek a boo and the stars shine from above. Oh; there is joy and bliss, some times a kiss. Oh! when the moon plays peek a boo
I've gone back to the old days when I was gay and full of spirit (Reminiscing a
little.)
Della and I went to Volney's last Sunday afternoon, July 31st, 1988. I stayed at Volney's and Graham met Della at Volney's and took her home with him. Then Debbie brought her back Friday A.M. and Volney brought us home. I bought a bushel of okra and the man heaped the bushel up. Then when we got home Earl Daniels had brought us a bushel of peas. We're proud of both the okra and peas. The peas were half snaps and that's the way I like them.
I went to see Edith on Wednesday evening and spent the night and Thursday with her. We enjoyed our visit. I went to see Loomis Friday at noon. Volney took me to Steve's Friday after we saw Loomis.
