AS PART OF OUR'HANDS! PROJECT, FOUR THOUSAND'LIVE OAK SEEDLINGS WERE GIVEN OUT IN OUR AREA 3Y THE STATE PAFIK COMMISSION TO REPLACE SOME OF THE TREES DESTROYED IN THE CAMILLE DISASTER.
IN 1974 WE WERE THE RECIPIENT OF A TREE GROWN FROM SF.rittS WHICH WENT TO THE MOON A BOA 3D APOLLO #U. THIS TREE IS PLANTED AT OUR SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, SO V/E CAN WATCH IT GROW. .SINCE APOLI/) #14 WAS TESTED AT THE MISSISSIPPI TEST FACILITY IN HANCOCK COUNTY, WE SO MUCH APPRECIATE RECEIVING THIS t'ERKSNTO.
