POWER DRUG COMPANY, known as the “REXALL STORE,” is the title of one of the popular and successful retail drug stores. This business was established in 1907 on a very small scale, but the trade has been rapidly growing. A full stock of fresh drugs, druggist sundries, stationery, toilet articles, cigars and fine candies, is always carried on hand. This firm is the sole agent for Rexall Remedies, Guth Chocolates and Candies, Eastman Kodaks and supplies, and Groots Cocoa. Mr. R. M. Power, the general manager, was formerly a resident of Marietta, Ca.; he is a graduate of the SNAP SHOT OK POWER DRUG COMPANY PHARMACY. New Orleans College of Pharmacy; he is a property holder and a prominent member of the Knights of Pythias. An extensive prescription business has been established In this department, Mr. Power is ably assisted by popular Dick Rush, who is a graduate of the Pharmaceutical Department of Vanderbilt University. A successful soda and ice cream trade has also been established. The store is located 011 Front street opposite the Hancock County Hank. Dillard, enjoys a very fine trade, which also includes shipments throughout the County, and along the L. & N. Railroad as far as Dunbar; he also operates delivery wagons for the accommodation of his local trade; besides his store building, he has a warehouse in the rear for reserve stocks and heavy staples; he has on hand at all times a complete assortment of staple and fancy groceries, crock- INTEhlOH VIKW OF JOHN A. Mr. Dillard is also the manager of the Dillard Base Ball Team, which has made a record of winnings with the various teams that they have played this season; amongst these teams is included a number of the semi-professional clubs of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
