After her first husband died in 1934, she married Fred Amos Woodward on August 13, 1937 in Whitney Point, NY. He was very good to Grandma and like a real father to her children. He died on May 11, 1994 in Sayre, PA. There were no children by this marriage. She and her second husband, Fred lived many years in Warrington (now Pensacola), FL. During her last years, she and Fred moved back to NY where she could be close to her daughter, Carrie Sturdevant. She died on March 27, 1992 of heart failure in Binghamton, NY. She was cremated and her ashes were buried in the grave with her sister, Minni Seeley White with a stone headmarker in Vestal Hills Cemetery in Vestal, NY. She was a housewife all of her life and was of the Baptist faith. Although she had little formal education, she could read and write well. When she was a small child she had tuberculosis of the right leg and was in a cast for five years which left her with a handicapped leg. Because New York law in those days prohibited victims of tuberculosis from entering public schools, she had to be educated at home. She had green eyes, dark-brown hair, 5'2" tall and was about 140 pounds in her prime. Debbie has a good photo of her in her wedding dress.

Grandma Margaret L. Seeley Weidman Woodward's father was Warren Edward Seeley. According to Grandma, her father was an only child born to Henry Seeley and Hanna Elizabeth "Libby" Smith on January 29, 1866 in East Galway, Saratoga Co., NY on his father's farm. He was killed on January 23, 1945, in Binghamton, NY after he was hit by a bus and is buried in River Hurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY with a headmarker. We found his New York death certificate which verified his birth and death dates and his place of birth and death. The record also names his wife as "Alice Myers", his father as "Harvey Seeley, born East Galway, NY", and his mother as "Hanna Smith, born East Galway, NY". There is some guestion about his father's first name and mother's place of birth, and this will be discussed later.
We first find Warren in the 1870 census of Galway, NY house #618/659 which is the home of Jonas Smith who is Warren E. Seeley's grandfather. He is listed as "Warren Seely, age 4" (born 1866), and "Hannah Seeley, age 31", but no father listed. This clearly indicates his father died or left the family by 1870. In the 1880, census of Galway, he is listed again in the home of Jonas Smith, as "Seeley Smith, age 14," with his mother, Elizabeth Smith, age 42, a widow". Thus, we can assume Warren's father was dead by 1880.
We next find Warren Edward Seeley in the 1900 census of Galway, NY house #355/364 as "Edward Seely, born January 1865", with "wife, Alice, two children - Bertha and Minni, father-in-law, Isaac Myers, and sister-in-law, Fannie Myers". In the 1910 census, he is living in Galway as "Warren E. Suby, age 48", with wife, Alice, children "Hannah E. Baker", his mother, and "Isaac Meyers", his father-in-law.
