Carrie’s Story Portrayed at Reunion
Amy Fulfer, Springdale, Arkansas, student at Shiloh Christian School, portrayed the life of Orphan Train Rider, Carrie Salverson as a history competition subject.
Carrie, Charlie and Tommy Salverson’s story as Riders of an Orphan Train from New York to Arkansas in 1912 was dramatized by Amy as a special tribute to the attendees of Reunion ’89.
Following her performance, Charlotte Woodward, a granddaughter of Carrie (Salverson) Littrell, presented Amy with a handkerchief box originally belonging to Carrie.
Amy also received a special history preservation award from OTHSA.
Amy won several regional, state and national history awards with her development of the presentation.
Floyd Bohannan accepts special award for Cosgrove-Meurer, producers of UNSOLVED MYSTERIES.

Dear Mary Ellen,
The Spring 1989 issue of CROSSROADS arrived & also your letter of Mar. 1st.
I read the issue & letter carefully & began to answer the questions & after thinking about them decided that I thoroughly enjoy the CROSSROADS just as it is. I think the format is great & there is certainly a lot of information in it.
There is a mistake in the story of my grandmother on page 8 of this Spring issue. Kittie Horton’s mother’s name was Mary Fitzpatrick Horton, not Fitzgerald. I don’t know how that happened but I would appreciate it being corrected.
