Mr. Andre Trawick Route 4, Box 529 B.
New Orleans 22, Louisiana
Dear Mr. Trawick:
Please excuse me for not answering your letter sooner, but the truth is I lost the letter somcv.'h?re in my files and I think I remember just what you wanted, therefore, I am giving you a report on the title from the time it was acquired by Olasfare Blanchard in 1909, and wish to report a3 follows:
(1).	On May 19, 1909, Sabin Martin and wife con-
veyed to Olazfare Blanchard a tract of land in the J. Bouquie Claim containing 20 acres, more or less, by deed recorded in Book B-9, pages 552-554 of the Hancock County Deed Records. A vendor's lien was retained and there is no marginal entry of cancellation. The note or obligation securing the vendor's lien was due on the _Ll2L day of ________ _____
and this is. ox course, now long barreti by the statute of limitations. The chances are it was paid and no one thought of cancelling it on the records.
(2).	Record of Tax Sales, Vol. 2 & 3, page 146, shows that Pt. J. Bouquie Cl. (B-9, P? 552), Section
25 and 26, T. 8, R. 14, 20.9 acres, being assessed to 0. Blanchard, was sold to the State on September 19, 1932, for delinquent taxes for the fiscal year 1931. Redeemed September 16, 193 5, by E. Van Whitfield.
(3).	Record of Tax Sales, Vol. 5, page 79, shows that Pt. J. Bouquie Claim, Section 25 and 26, m- ft
R. 14, 20.41 acres, being assessed to 0. bMmwpftrd et al, was sold to the State September 20. 1937, for delinquent taxes for the fiscal year 1936. Redeemed by E. Van Whitfield October 31, 1932*
(4).	The Assessment Roll for the years 1950 and 1951	.
shows Pt. J. Bouquie Claim, B-9, page 552, Section 25 and 26, T. 8, Range 14, 20.40 acres, assessed to 0. Blanchard. Value at $215.00.
(5).	The records in the office of the Sheriff &. Tax Collector of Hancock County show that taxes for the fiscal year 1950 on above land were paid by 0. Blanchard February 1, 1951. Tax Receipt No.
3363.
(6)?.	1951 taxes are due after January 1st, 1952 to September 1952, before sale for delinquent taxes.
It is my opinion that the title to the property is good in the heirs of Olaasfare Blanchard, assuming there was no will.
