By the year 1928 Church Membership had increased to 82, but only 32 were active.
When Reverend J. G. Gilmore resigned as Pastor because the church was unable to pay his salary, the Pass Christian Church asked that the Bay St. Louis Church cooperate with them for a full time pastor on Sundays alternating. The church agreed to do this and Brother W. S. Allen of Hattisburg was called. Brother A. B. Day was appointed 'Treasurer; F. A. Wright was Sunday Schcx)l Suiter in tendent; John Bryan Assistant Sunday School Superintendent; Ruth Bryan was pianist: Dr. B. L.
