Mrs. Charles (Emma) Casanova of Picayune, MS, in 1977. Clara is the daughter of
Jules Parker and Rosa Casanova. Francois Casanova’s descendants are:
1.	John Gabriel Casanova - bom on March 24, 1847, according to Our Lady of the Gulf Church records. He married Julia Andrienne Fayard on February 20, 1870 at Our Lady of the Gulf Church and lived in Bay St. Louis. In his prime, John worked as a lumber inspector and “tally man” in Logtown. He was considered a well-educated and intelligent man of his time. He is buried in the Logtown Cemetery with no head marker. They had the following children:
a.	Rosa A. Casanova - bom on September 14, 1871 and died August 22, 1928, per headstone in Logtown. She was baptized at OLG Church as “Josephine Albertine Cassanova.” She married Jules F. Parker in 1888 (son of George Parker and Louisa Netto) and lived in Logtown, MS. They had: Claudius, Franklin, Walter, Givens, and Clara (Mrs. Jessie Ashby of Bay St. Louis).
b.	Albert Gabriel “Alabare” Casanova - bom on April 6, 1874 per OLG Church records. He married Emma Whitfield in 1897 and lived in Picayune, MS. They had: Sarah, Sead, Albert, Polly, and Mae.
c.	Victor Jules Casanova - bom on October 2, 1876, as found in OLG Church records. He married Vera Miller in 1906 and lived in Logtown. His headstone in the Logtown Cemetery says he was bom on October 2, 1876 and died on January 18, 1933. His wife, Vera, is listed in the 1910 and 1920 Hancock censuses but is missing in the 1930 census records. Her headstone in Logtown says she died on August 8, 1922. They had: Julia Mae, Genevieve, Jules Benjamin “Bennie,” Herman, and Rose M.
2.	Marie Victoire “Virginia” Casanova - bom on December 30, 1848, per Our Lady of the Gulf Church records. No one remembers her, but she is found in the 1880 census of Hancock County with her parents. Her headstone in the Logtown Cemetery shows “1845 - 1897.”
3.	Francis Gabriel “Frank” Casanova - bom on November 17, 1850, per Our Lady of the Gulf Church records. He was a carpenter by trade and lived in and near Pearlington, MS. He married Marie Camille “Mary” Luc (also went by Luke or Guerry) as found in Hancock County civil records on January 29, 1877 and also at OLG Church. They had four children as listed in the 1900 Hancock census.
After Frank’s death, Mary Luc married Emile Asher but had no children by him. Frank Casanova and Mary had the following children:
a.	Francis Casanova, Jr. - born on March 23, 1880 (OLG Church records) and married Bernadette “Bemie” Bordages (daughter of Joseph Bordages) in 1903. He lived last in Pearlington. His wife and children later moved to New Orleans, LA. They are listed in our “Bourdages Family History.”
