Winnie Nancy Roberts was the daughter of Axum Roberts and Nancy Chatham. Axum Roberts was born in North Carolina in 1781, and was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth Roberts. Axum and Nancy had 8 children; Axum Jr, Elias, John, Winney(Frye), Betsy, Patsy, Molsy, & Jane. Axum Roberts was one of the early settlers of Greene County MS.
