Have not written lately, that is in the past four or fitfe days-I ha d been looking for a letter from you- Oh yes, A recieved a package of claothes from you today- it did not seem that all the stuff was in it? I imagine that they muct have sent two packages and the other did not arrive yet- ^he one toda y had the top of a corduroy suit, two coveralls and a pair of shoes? a slip in the box showed a number of other items listed-- I imagine the will arrive? I know that Mr Baker and his sister-in-law will be pleased as those things are so hard to get over here?

We went out and shot a few birds the other afternoon?we just hunted about an hour, we saw quite a few ? you cannot always get dose to these birdss?they use retrivers only, no setters or pointers?you walk about twenty five yards apart, about six of you a^d flush the birds that way?
Ahe partridge season is the one open now-?There are a lot of apheasant around?These partridge are quite similar to our quail?the same coloring, they sta y in coveys- they are a little larger than our birds, they make a cackling noise when they flush- they fly exactly like our birds?I missed a couple of shots the other afternoon, only had a few?was useing Mr Bakers 16 double, a beattiful gin, but it did not fit like mine does, you know? Tuesday, or day after tomorrow we ar going on a real hunt? hunt for about five or six hours? txk xhey killed about 40 birds the opening hunt last year , m so we Jckai should do pretty well; too, I have made arrangements,
I think,to borrow a Remington automatic , 12 gauge, from the field? if I do, I will show these guys how to shoot? I wont miss many, I hope I I'll do allright, tho-----will let you know about it?
