DRAKE, tlie County Surveyor, has been a resident of Bay St. Louis for the past fifteen years, moving- from Vicksburg, Miss., where he was in the employ of one of the large firms of cotton buyers. Mr. Drake has just been reelected to a second term as County Surveyor; he also enjoys the distinction of being the City Engineer of the City of Bay St. Louis. Mr Drake owns a complete abstract of Hancock County, which is accurate in every respect, and which is in great demand; he has developed an extensive business as a Civil Engineer and Surveyor; his offices being located directly opposite the Court House; he has always taken a keen interest in the advancement and upbuilding of Hancock County; he is the owner of one of the most beautiful homes at Bay St. Louis. THE LITTLE FRENCH MARKET is conducted by O. A. Fayard and S. C. Carver, who have built up a very fine trade, owing to their up-to-date and progressive business methods. They handle native and Western meats, and do a large business, supplying railroad camps along the L. & N. Railway. Both of these gentlemen are life long residents of HOME OF E. S. DRAKE. Bay St. Louis. They are prominent members of the Bay St. Louis Benevolent Association. This firm has also a well established wholesale and retail oyster trade, shipments being made all along the G. & S. 1. R. R. as far as Hattiesburg, and along the L. & N. Railroad between Mobile and New Orleans. Mr. L. C. Carver has entire charge of the oyster shipping business.
