Diamondhead is a golfing community so the Krewe of Diamondhead’s parade consists mostly of 30 elaborately decorated golf carts with members throwing beads, stuffed animals, candy and other Carnival treats to scores of outstretched hands. The parade begins at the Community Center and winds its way toward the Country Club.2 The Krewe of Selene and Royal-T- Mardi Gras Parade is usually the first parade to roll on the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast. The parade route runs from the entrance of the community to the Country Club.
