The members of a Naval Communications Team, who volunteered to provide radio communications in the Waveland, Mississippi area following Hurricane Camille, have informed me of the courtesies you extended to them.

Your hospitable treatment, including the grant of the privileges of your home, is heart-warming. Your hospitality is particularly praiseworthy because it was extended during a most trying time and after material losses to your property. I assure you that the men appreciate your kindness and that ?it contributed much to the success of their mission.
In the hopes that you and the people of Waveland and the Gulf Coast will speedily recover from the devastating storm, I again say "thanks" for the men, and extend my own expression of appreciation.
