Seal, Sr. and all the women who have preserved the tradition of hospitality and community service along the Coast. Mrs. Seal, a resident of Bay St. Louis, was an early President of the Bay-Waveland Garden Club and was an original founder of the Gulf Coast Council which was incorporated to present the annual Tri-County Spring Pilgrimage. This Exposition which celebrates the Golden Anniversary of the Annual Spring Pilgrimage honors 50 years of hospitality, friendship and shared love of God's gifts. It is sponsored by Hancock Bank. The Standard Flower Show, presented under the rules and regulations of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc. will be held on the picturesque 37 acre campus of USM Gulf Park, Long Beach during spring break. USM Gulf Park was once known as Gulf Park College for Women and is concurrently celebrating its 25th anniversary as a campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. Landscape Design and Retail Exhibits, Seminars, Educational Displays; Floral Design and Horticulture Competition will be featured. A special Historical Exhibit in the Parlor room of Hardy Hall will showcase a 50 year retrospective of the SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE EDUCATIONAL CATEGORY ARE "COAST TO COAST" STAGED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CAMPUS UNDER A TENTED PAVILION, THIS DISPLAY WILL FEATURE A COASTAL MISSISSIPPI NATIVE PLANT AND TREE EXHIBIT PRESENTED BY THE CROSBY ARBORETUM OE PICAYUNE. A COASTAL CENTRAL AMERICAN EXHIBIT FEATURING EXOTIC AND TROPICAL PLANTS WILL BE PRESENTED BY THE MISSISSIPPI STATE PORT AUTHORITY AT GULFPORT - THE NUMBER ONE PORT ON THE GULF FOR TROPICAL FRUITS. SHIPS TRAVERSE THE GULF TO OUR NEIGHBORS ON A DISTANT SHORE WHERE RAIN FORESTS AND LUSH TROPIC LANDSCAPES YIELD A YEAR-ROUND BOUNTY OF FRUITS TRANSPORTED TO THE AMERICAN HEARTLAND. "GULF COAST KIDS" - YOUTH PROGRAM The Mississippi Gulf Coast Master Gardeners Association will present a special Youth Horticulture Program. A hands-on session on composting, recycling and basic botany will.be taught in partnership with the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center for Children. Join as for opening ceremonies at 10:30 a-m^ Tuesday, March 11th on the campus green at USM Gulf Park. Mike Reader, WLOX-TV Weatherman will be Master of Ceremonies. The Long Beach High School Band will perform under the direction of Mr. Bob Fayard and also featured is the USN Construction Battalion Honor Guard. MRS.
