NEW BOOK PROJECT REPORT: ORPHAN TRAIN RIDERS; Their Own Stories Vol. 1 The new book project is now in the printing and binding stage. The typesetting and editing have been finished. Newspaper columnists across America have been notified of its progress and a little of the contents. An assortment of historical and genealogical societies on OTHSA’s mailing list have been informed of the pre-publication price ($27.50 including postage) and the post-publication price ($35.00) after February 15,1992. Members of OTHSA may purchase the new books for the pre-publication price as long as the supply lasts. Gateway Press (Baltimore, MD) expects to ship the new books to OTHSA by the end of March, 1992. OTHSA will handle the stamping of names on the covers (for those of you who paid extra to have this done) and then mail the books out. A list of the suggested “Table of Contents” has been printed. At the writing of this article, about five other stories are being edited. If you have submitted a story, and it is NOT on this list, please call 501-751-7830 and leave a message for Mary Ellen Johnson. Vol. 2 in this series of four books began accepting stories January 1, 1992. Vol. 2 has a deadline of May 15, 1992 for a publication date of October 1,1992.
