SAM DALE MEMORIAL: A park dedicated to the famous
Romantic Natchez hosts the oldest and best-known of Mississippi’s Pilgrimages.
Sponsored by the garden clubs of Natchez, this year’s Pilgrimage will have 30 lovely homes of classic antebellum design on the day tours. Morning hours are 9:30 to 1 o’clock. Afternoon tours are
2	until 6 o’clock. The charge is $10.00 per tour. Children’s tickets are half price if not on student group tours. Tickets may be obtained from Pilgrimage Headquarters on the Stanton Hall grounds, Commerce Street, from 8 until 8 o’clock on Sunday,
Tuesday and Thursday, and from
8	until 6 o’clock on other days. Guides and transportation are available at additional cost.
Special Attractions
CONFEDERATE PAGEANT: This spectacular event will transport the audience to the days of long ago. It will open Friday, March 3, and will be presented each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evening during the Pilgrimage at 8:30. Admission is $5.00.

SOUTHERN EXPOSURE: An Owen Crump play presented each year during Pilgrimage by the Natchez Little Theatre, this is a comedy that lets the South laugh at itself. MISSISSIPPI MEDICINE SHOW: An entertaining showboat review, the show is available for group tours all year except during the Spring Pilgrimage. It is available for the Fall Tour.
Advance arrangements should be made through the Little Theatre. There is an admission charge.
FALL TOUR: Thirty-two of Natchez’ stately homes will be open for tour October 5-22. Write the Natchez Pilgrimage for detailed information.
JEFFERSON COLLEGE: Incorporated in 1802, Jefferson College was the first educational institution in the Territory.
Currently under restoration, it is located six miles east of Natchez
cfiarge. The Jimmie Rodgers Festival will be held May 21-27 and will feature outstanding food, fun and entertainment.

GRAND VILLAGE OF THE NATCHEZ INDIANS: A museum on the site of the capital village of the Natchez Indians, Grand Village contains exhibits, a touch table of Indian artifacts, tours of the site and an experimental reconstruction of a Natchez Indian house. Open free of charge year round. Closed some holidays.
Houses by Candlelight
The stately townhouses of Wigwam, Dixie, Texada, The Towers and Coyle House may be viewed on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7 until 10 o’clock. The charge for each tour is $10.00.
