1878.” The Hancock County, MS Court records show they married on June 22, 1878. Fannie was the daughter of John Welch and Catherine O’Brien. The OLG death records show Fannie died on January 21, 1930. Mrs. Lillian Green Sportono, a daughter of Jesse Green, told us that this Catherine O’Brien was a sister to Ellen O’Brien, the second wife of Hines Krankey. Jesse and Fannie Green lived in what was called the Claiborne Community in south-west Hancock County near Port Bienville. Mrs. Sportono told us Jesse Green had the following children:
A.	Jesse Green - bom in 1879, his siblings remember hearing of him, and he died as a small child.
B.	Catherine Ellen “Katie” Green - she was bom on August 21, 1880, in Ansley, MS, and died on October 17,1974, according to Mrs. Sportono. Her baptism record at OLG Church shows her bom on August 21, 1880. She is buried in St. Mary’s cemetery in Bay St.
Louis with a headstone. She lived in the Bayou Caddy community, but died in a retirement home in Pass Christian, MS. She married William Edwin “Willie” Marquez on July 24, 1901, as found in Annunciation Church records. They had:
1.	Vincent Marquez, Sr. - he was bom in 1902, and died in 1997.
He married Eglantine M. Lizana in 1926, and lived in
Pass Christian. They had: Vincent, Marion (a son), and Katherine.
2.	Jesse Marquez - he was bom in 1903, and died in 1966.
He never married and lived in Bay St. Louis.
3.	Frances I. “Fannie” Marquez - she was bom in 1906, and died in 2001. She never married and lived in Bay St. Louis.
4.	Emest Marquez - he was bom in 1909, and died in 1967. He never married and lived in Bay St. Louis.
5.	William Edwin “Eddie” Marquez, Jr. - he was bom in 1912, married Leona Walsh, and lived in Bay St. Louis. They had:
Elona, Ellenor, and Edward.
C.	Charles L. Green - he married Corinne Eva Walters in 1904, as found in the Hancock County Court records. He lived and died in Lakeshore. His headstone in Bayou Caddy cemetery shows he was bom on May 16, 1882, and died on April 26, 1905. His baptism record at Annunciation Church says he was bom on the same date.
He was killed while working for the local railroad. He had one
son called Clarence Eugene Green that died as an infant. This child’s head marker in Bayou Caddy cemetery says he was bom on November 10, 1904, and died on May 7, 1905. Clarence’s baptism record at OLG Church gives the same date of birth.
