BWYC Wins it’s 1st GYA Old Timers Regatta in 1986 at Pontchartrain Yacht Club
The 1st Winning BWYC Old Timers Team from left is Harry Chapman, Pete Morrill and Jack Bell with their awards including the prestigious Commodore John Dane Trophy at the GYA Opening Regatta at Ponchartrain Yacht Club in the spring of 1986. The event was for GYA Yacht Club members 50 years and older and takes place annually. Today the GYA Old Timers Regatta is called the GYA Masters Regatta for the Commodore John Dane Memorial Trophy.
