CHARLES G. MOREAU—newspaper publisher, for many years the only newspaper in Hancock County. Untiring in his efforts to assist in the development of this section of the State.

REV. HENRY LeD'UC — became pastor of Our Lady of the Gulf Church on November 17, 1859, and remained here until his death (in France, where he had gone on a visit) in 1897. Father LeDuc was ,the instigator of many improvements in the parish during his thirty-eight years here.
MOTHER CLAIRE — for many years beloved Superior and teacher at St. Joseph Academy here.
LOUIS SPOTORNO — for many years business and civic leader; one-time member of the city council and one of the organizers of the Merchants Bank and Trust Company.
REV. BROTHER PETER, S. C.— several times president of St. Stanislaus, also serving as teacher for many years; a man with a dynamic personality,, beloved by all who knew him:
