Hoffmann Chancery Clerk Statement of John Henry Supt. having been examined and entered on the minutes of this board, and it appearing that the same is 80% of the value of the work done and material used in performance of contract for constructing the court house, it is ordered that said statement be approved and that the said Jett Bros, contracting company be and they are hereby allowed the sum of $6000.00 being the amount due them by the said superintendent payable out of the general county fund for which let warrant issue. Sect. 363 Code 190’6 page 234. Ordered by the board that the sum of $150.00 be allowed to Keenan & Weis architects being 5% by terms of contract as the amount allowed by contractors as per his estimate payable out of the general county fund for which let warrant issue. Sect. 363, Code 1906 page 234. Ordered by the board that the sum of $10.00 be allowed to Jett Brothers Contracting Co. for making hanging fire proof door to old vault. Sect. 363, Code 1906. Ordered by the board that the clerk of this board be and he is hereby directed to give legal notice for the sale of the old court house building, (vault and furniture not included) said sale to be made by the Clerk of this board to the highest bidder for cash at public outcry and within legal hours at the front door of the court house of Hancock County in the City of Bay St. Louis, Miss., having first given three weeks notice in the Gulf Coast Progress, a newspaper published in said county, before the day of sale and that said clerk make report of his action herein at the next meeting of this board, the board reserving the right to reject any and all bids. Ordered that the board adjourn until to-morrow morning 9 o'clock.
