MISSISSIPPI CITY Mississippi City, Miss., September 7, 1892: (Special)
The late State Legislature authorized the coast counties to make lavs governing the oyster traffic.
Harrison County Board of Supervisors have passed an ordinance which levies a tax on home boats in the oyster trade. No oysters are allowed to be taken out of the state by other boats.
An officer has been appointed to visit the reefs and warn off all outside boats as trespassers. The penalty for violation of this act is fine and imprisonment.
