of his estate that gave us the names of many Doby relatives. He never married nor did he have any children. After his father died, he took over the Doby Place and kept it going.
IV.	Jeanne Florentine D’auby - bom on May 10, 1803, according to her baptismal record (St. Louis Book 4, p. 25, act 212). She married Francisco Antonio Netto and lived on the Doby plantation south of Pearlington. According to the baptismal records of his children, Francisco was a native of Mahon, on the Isle of Minorca, Spain. According to these same baptismal records, he was the son of Antonio Netto and Anna Nuso. He died in 1836 (no birth date), according to his headstone in the old Doby Cemetery. He was supposed to be a “Spanish Cavalier,” according to family legend. In the War of 1812, he fought with Capt. Barthelemy Favre’s 4th Co., 2nd Regement, Louisiana Militia. He was a private. Legend has it that he came from Spain in his own schooner called “Seven Sisters.” No record has been found on this ship, but the New Orleans, LA Ship Register shows that in the early 1800s, he owned three schooners: the Hope, the Jealous, and the President. Jeanne Florentine, or Florentine as she often went by, is also buried in the old Doby Cemetery. Her headstone says she was bom in 1803 and died in October 1858. Florentine appears in the 1840 Hancock County census as the head of the household with 9 children. These 9 children and their descendants have been identified by Mrs. Joe (Laura) Crawford of Slidell, LA; Mr. George Koch of Bay St. Louis; Mrs. Jeanne Williams of Bay St. Louis; Mrs. Jessie Ashby of Bay St. Louis; and Mrs. G. T. (Wyonia Smith) Rhodes of Houston, TX. Starting with the oldest child:
A.	Francisco Antonio “Frank” Netto - bom in 1823 based on the 1860 census of Harrison County, MS. He married Maria Elizabeth Bayard on January 9, 1854, according to Hancock County marriage records and Our Lady of the Gulf Church records. One of his descendants, Mrs. Bruce (Dianne Netto) Bourgeois of Bay St. Louis, has done considerable research on this particular line. She said that Frank lived and died in the DeLisle, MS, area. He had:
1.	Laura V. Netto - bom January 17, 1855, according to Our Lady of the Gulf Church records and married Paul Lizana.
2.	Francis A. “Frank” Netto - bom February 19, 1857 per OLG and married 1) Whellmena Huddleston and 2) Caroline Selliers. He lived in DeLisle, MS.
3.	Antoine “Tony” Netto - bom December 26, 1859 per OLG Church records.
He married Emma Ladner and lived in Kiln, MS.
4.	Jean Baptiste Netto - bom April 17, 1861 per OLG Church records. No further information on him.
5.	Azelia J. Netto - bom on April 10, 1864 per OLG Church records. She married Marcelin Saucier and lived in DeLisle.
6.	Louis Netto - bom August 14, 1866 per OLG Church records. He married Ella Cuevas and lived in Kiln, MS.
