Supporters of this weekend?s St. Paul?s Seafood Festival in Pass Christian have made advance plans to shield fairgoers from the stifling heat.
Alderman-at-Large Leo ?Chipper? McDermott said
Tuesday that he had obtained a 16-foot by 120-foot tent for ruse by diners, and work crews were installing it on the fairgrounds fronting the beach directly across from St. Paul?s Catholic Church.
Across Scenic Drive, crews were also erecting carnival rides, which is a popular pas-
time for fairgoers.
'Phis year's 21th annual Seafood Festival, the chief fundraiser for St. Paul?s Church, promises to be a weekend of good fun and good food.

High school sweethearts reminisce at Valena C. Jones class reunion

For Arthur and Leverin' Clemenl.in, the Valena C. Jones Class Kounion this past weekend held special meaning. The couple, who graduated in 1965 and 67, respectively, went through school together and then went their separate ways. Arthur moved to Michigan, where he taught, school and became principal of the voc-tech department at his school in Jackson. Leverne stayed here in Bay St. Louis but never forgot Arthur. After Arthur became a widower he got in touch with Leverne, who was also
available, and the couple was married on April 1. Arthur will remain in Michigan until next, year, when he will retire-, a .Ti year veteran of teaching, then move here to join his Leverne.
?Then Leverne?s only job will be to take care of me,? Arthur said.
