Since all archaeologists are in the field and, Lord knows how much equipment and materials we have to take with us, it is not practicable or possible to take all the Association office with us. , Most members are out on vacation :i as well so why not just shut the whole works down for the summer. Because we are shutting down the Association office and stopping publication of the NEWSLETTER for three months dees not mean that each and all members should do likewise. It- is sincerely hoped that each will continue to gather data on material, sites, and other things of interest. It is also hoped that members will continue to report sites either to the Museum of Anthropology, University of Mississippi or the Mississippi i-Archaeologica1 Survey, State Historical Museum, Jackson. Free site report cards will be furnished on request. For maps see page 1.1 this NEWSLEI TER. It is also, hoped that each member will do his best to contact his local legislators and push for greater support of the Mississippi Archaeological Survey. Talk it up with the local, people so that we CEn have a greater base to sit on. >o c MORE DALTON POINTS FROM THE DELTA! / : ' ) Carrol Kelley, Leland, Miss. has been out looking on the old / ridge running from Hollandale to I - \ Clarksdale.
