Can?t fish out in the river, cause I just can?t pole a skiff
I think I?se getten deaf Lord I can?t
hear the church bells ring
Or join in with the neighbors when they
gather round to sing
So I?ll leave ma? cabin door ajar, in case
you plans to come
I?m ready Lord and waitin' cause my
work down here is done

MY SUMMER LOVE
My summer love, was sweet and fair With moonbeams playing in her hair Her eyes were bright, as the evening star Alas! My summer love, I wonder where you are,
Your tender kiss filled my lonely heart with ecstasy When you, were near it was just like paradise to me But like the sunsets glow at close of day Too, soon, my summer love went on her way (repeat)

BOYHOOD DREAM
I went for a walk, down the old wagon trail
As I did in the days long ago
I lingered a while, near the barnyard stile
And dream?d in the soft after glow
I went back over the years where I was a boy
and played in the old red barn
From its cobwebby beams, having a million dreams
Which filled my heart with a song
I was soon awakened from my reverie by a night birds
soft refrain
