A place containing 650 acres with 300 opened, gin house & press, 6 negro Cabins, a comfortable dwelling &c with 500 adjoining 270 cleared the rest wood land which will be sold if desired but he will not get it this year. The place is offered at $35 per acre payable in four years. The timber is the same as in Tennessee, and the land as rich as it possibly can be raising cotton as sucessfully as any other place in the union corn equal to any in Tenn?Wheat, oats clover &c all now growing and showing for it self, with the exception of the small grain, Delhi is about two hours ride on the Cars from Vixburg, the place is situtated on Bayou Macon, which is navigable, and it is stated to be very healthy. I am not able to go up to see it, as we both can not leave at once Pa started a gain on yesterday to see if he could not purchase it. He has not sold either of his places yet, but expect to sell Clifton in a few days. I came up here this morning expect to return in the morning.
