Scafide, Jr., Esq. Farve, Genin & Scafide P. 0. Box 70 Bay St. Louis, Mississippi 39520-0070 Re: Vassar Priscilla Anderson Memorial Library d/b/a and Otherwise Known as L. W. Anderson ?jenealogical Library, Anne S. Anderson, Director Dear John: As per cur telephone conversation Friday, it is my understanding that Anne S. Anderson and Mayor Edward Farve have discussed the transfer of the Genealogical Library from William Carey College to the City of Bay St. Louis. It is also my understanding that the city will provide an acceptable facility for the library which, in the future, will be the renovated depot, bur temporary facilities will be provided in the interim. Anne Anderson states that she has less than six weeks from this date to complete the move of the library, and she would like to have some type of written agreement with the City of Bay St. Louis which would be based on the following terms and conditions: 1. The library will be on permanent loan to the City rather than transfer of ownership, with the change in location being only based on specific events. 2. Anne S. Anderson will be the Director and will remain in charge until she is unable to serve because of death, disability or resignation. 3. The library will be publicly identified as the L. W. Anderson Genealogical Library, and the collection of books will remain intact, with it understood that no books or microfilm will be disposed of other than to revert back to the foundation. 4. a minimum of a $2.00 fee will be charged for the use of the library, and the library will maintain a nonprofit tax status.
